The turn of the year

This year I have more interests to follow up than usual over the break, as my current project together with writing and family tree construction offer a wealth of possibilities for research and creative work. Limits are set by the fact that the libraries and galleries I haunt for that purpose will be closed for blocks of time. The first thought that pops into my mind now is that there will be no excuse for avoiding practical tasks such as my 3D experiments and I can hope to do plenty of drawing. Once I get into the swing this will be good to do. Another aspect that could be potentially frustrating is if I want to access visual references for the project drawing beyond what I have gathered already. I may have to give in and get home broadband after all. An alternative: Get the steps out and make a start on some home decorating. It could certainly do with it. DIY stores are generally open but for the bare minimum of holidays, whereas a specialist supplier for latex, plaster or wax for 3D studio pieces is likely to be closed for a longer time.
