2pm on new years eve

In the Fruitmarket gallery in search of good soup. Change of cafe franchise from one I really liked to another - Milk - thats as yet untested. Well not strictly true as I found the soup well warmed and with subtle seasoning. Curried cauliflower hardly conveys the delicacy. Surroundings remain the same. Good!

Since this morning I've been resisting the temptation to review the year. There have been a few salient events and situations that have had conflicting effects on me. Some I've been glad about. Others have left me feeling bleak. This afternoon my state of mind is more even, so I think it best to avoid reviewing the year. I have noticed in passing that I've reached the end of 2015 with the flat in an unusually tidy and clean state. That at least calls for noting and being glad. All the more because it's not the result of advance planning.

The Robert Irwin work (I've posted a detail here) is still on show so I must have a look before I leave today.
